Doing Business in the GTA

The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) economy is dominated by free market activities and private enterprise. As a result, it is relatively easy to commence or expand business activities in the GTA.

The GTA is Canada's undisputed business and manufacturing capital and the sixth largest region in North America. It has the lowest business costs and most generous R & D tax treatment among the G8 countries. (KPMG Global Cost Competitive Study, 2006).

The economic strength and dominance of the Region is clearly reflected in the number of corporate headquarters here: 9 out of Canada's 10 top law firms - 9 out of the top 10 accounting groups and 85% of the foreign, and Canada's top 5 banks and the second largest automotive centre in North America.

As a business location, it’s cost competitive. That's why the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology - Aerospace – Advanced Manufacturing – Agricultural, Film Animation and Design sectors are successful in this region as well.

We invite you to be one of them, to invest in a region with infinite potential, and to secure the foundations of your company’s future success.
